This is a 4 channel, fully integrated, hardware based standalone digital video
recorder (DVR). This standalone DVR is based on embedded Linux operating system and includes a remote control for
easy setup and operation.
With alarm input/output, Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) camera control, network access, DVD quality 720x240 resolution and
DVD/USB2.0 backup this DVR is perfect for the home or small business.
The DVD writer is supported in this DVR for the backup. This DVR is perfect for small and medium size
business.

without using up a large amount of storage space. The compression allows crisper, cleaner images to be recorded and

ABOUT THE H264 TECHNOLOGY
H.264, also known as MPEG-4 AVC (Advanced Video Coding), is a video compression standard that offers
significantly greater compression than its predecessors. The standard is expected to offer up to twice the
compression of the current MPEG-4 ASP (Advanced Simple Profile), in addition to improvements in perceptual quality.
The H.264 standard can provide DVD-quality video at under 1 Mbps, and is considered promising for full-motion video
over wireless, satellite, and ADSL Internet connections.
DVR USA Technologies utilizes the latest industry standard (ISO/ITU) video compression technology known as
H.264. H.264 use s a fully optimized algorithm based on Digital Signal Processor ( DSP ) technology. Display and
recording of video and audio are in real-time and fully synchronized in both modes. Video feeds are directly
transmitted from the video capture card to the display frame buffer and the compressed stream data is directly sent
to the host's memory. The transmission process doesn't need any intervention from the host computer's CPU, greatly
saving resources of the host computers processor. The result is flawless images and sound regardless of how many
channels being monitored or reviewed.
Compared to the prior generation MPEG4 and MPEG2 technologies, the H.264 video quality is significantly better.
Despite the higher quality enhanced video the h.264 file size is 25% smaller than MPEG4, 50% smaller than MPEG2 and
exponentially smaller than MJPEG.
As opposed to the 10 year old MPEG2 and 7 year old MPEG4 standards the H.264 codec used by DVR USA was designed
