February 2003 Jon Hinthorne, a stellar employee of South Shore Security, joined the company as a security officer for the Marketplace at Braintree five years ago. Jon immediately demonstrated clear problem-solving abilities during a special investigation when he first joined the team. As a result, he quickly moved up the ranks while simultaneously working within the company's Internal Audit Unit (IAU). Today, he continues to play a key role in the IAU while also being promoted in January to the position of Operations Manager. As a South Shore Security IAU member, Jon monitored and assisted uniformed security officers, guiding them through regular training classes and onsite consultations. Since his recent promotion to Operations Manager, he is in regular contact with South Shore Security's clients and management team and works closely with the office staff at the company's Quincy headquarters. A constable for the city of Quincy, Jon upholds excellent relationships with police departments and emergency units throughout the state. This rapport offers South Shore Security officers and clients even more professional resources should they be necessary in the event of an emergency, special investigation, or serious incident. The camaraderie and team environment at South Shore Security are what Jon enjoys most about his work. He attributes his industry success to solid partnerships with colleagues, clients and the public. For him, a job well done involves securing a sound environment through quality management. Jon also received special training in the U.S. Marshall Service in San Juan, Puerto Rico and is currently a Notary Public. A fishing enthusiast, Jon is a South Shore native and resident with two daughters, Brianna and Ashley. Jon Hinthorne's accomplishments add up to quite a success story.
