Lonnie Winbush is one of South Shore Security's outstanding team members. Since joining the company Lonnie has been assigned to
an impressive variety of South Shore Security clients, including work at The Patriot Ledger, Sheraton Braintree, and the Marriott Long Wharf. Currently, he works first shift as a security officer at NSTAR's Massachusetts Avenue location,
performing access control, greeting visitors and monitoring all traffic arriving and leaving the facility. "I have always enjoyed meeting and working with people, as well as helping them when they need direction," Lonnie said. "It's
rewarding to keep employees at a site involved and informed of important safety precautions."
Lonnie brings with him more than 14 years of security industry experience, with an extensive background in health care facility security. While living in Hawaii, he was a security coordinator
for two major hospitals. Lonnie helped maintain the Hazardous Detection Program for Castle Medical Center in Kailua, Hawaii. He also supervised the Infant Abduction System and worked closely with the Environment of Care (EOC) unit at Kapiolani
Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu.
In addition to his security experience, Lonnie was also a member of the United States Marine Corps for 15 years. The Boston native enjoys weightlifting and bodybuilding in his spare time.
Lonnie currently lives in Hanson with his wife, Valerie, and daughters, Vanessa, 12 and Jamie, 11. All of us at South Shore Security would like to thank Lonnie for always doing such a great job!
